MOD 18GC
Cutting machine to perform the gap cutting (island placement) with a wide range of acrylic adhesive (such as VHB), or foam products and so on.
This technology allows to not create processing waste, thus saving raw material.
The 18GC can cut the material into 2 mm strips by applying a distance up to a minimum of 2mm between the strips, and giving a distance between sheets from 2 mm up to 50 mm.
The Gap Cutter can work with rolls with 300 mm in diameter and 500 mm in width.
To get the gap between the strips using the traditional technology, the material had to be cut and removed (wasting it).
Today, thanks to the 18GC, the material will be entirely converted in final product, the investment payback will be fast, obtaining a permanent saving.
The 18GC can reach a production of 40 mts of final product per hour. All the machine controls are by EMG brake and Brushless Motor to achieve the maximum cutting and positioning accuracy.
Comparative example of production to get 7mm stripes with 3mm gap
Traditional way
1000mm of raw material = 1000mm / 10mm (7mm + 3mm) = 100 pieces
18GC
1000mm of raw material = 1000mm / 7mm = 142 pieces
The “finger lift” application and the liner replacement option are also available.
- Working width 500 mm
- Diameter of the rolls 300 mm
- Material transport Brushless motors
- Winder control Brushless motors
- Unwinder control EMG Brake
- Minimum strips cut 2 mm
- Minimum gap between the strips 2 mm
- Distance between the sheets 2-50 mm
- @ 7mm strips/3 mm gap: 129 strokes per minute = approx 54 mt raw material/hour
- @ 5mm strips/3 mm gap: 137 strokes per minute = approx 41 mt raw material/hour
- @ 7mm strips/3 mm gap:
traditional = 100 pieces per 1000 mm raw material
18GC = 142 pieces per 1000 mm - @ 5mm strips/3 mm gap:
traditional = 125 pieces per 1000 mm raw material
18GC = 200 pieces per 1000 mm raw material
